A successful Rowbarton Charity Cup final

On Thursday evening Alcombe Rovers FC played Locomotives FC in the Rowbarton Charity Cup final at Bridgewater FC. The respective champions of the Taunton and district Saturday football league divisions two and one played out an entertaining fixture which ended 4:2 to Alcombe Rovers.

The Rowbarton Charity Cup final started all the way back in 1921 and has raised thousands for different charities over the years.

Premier Trophies had the honour of not only supplying the trophies for the event but also selecting the man of the match. This was awarded to goal keeper Chris Meredith who put in a particularly impressive performance.

According to Premier Trophies Managing Director John White: “It’s a real pleasure to be part of this event which annually raises crucial funds for the charities it supports. Congratulations to the winners this year, Alcombe Rovers FC, and also Locomotives FC who have had a fantastic season. We look forward to our continued involvement in this event for many more years to come.”
